About
I am an Assistant Professor at Universidad de los Andes, Chile, and a researcher at the Dental Biomaterials Laboratory (BioMaD), within the Centro de Investigación e Innovación Biomédica (CiiB). I obtained my Dental degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru (2007), and hold both a Master’s degree (2016) and a PhD (2020) in Dental Materials from the University of Campinas (FOP-UNICAMP), Brazil.
My work integrates research, teaching, and clinical relevance in dental biomaterials, from alternative antimicrobial therapies and adhesion to dental tissues, to polymerization behavior and 3D, printed restorative materials. I collaborate with research groups in Chile, Peru, Brazil, and the United States, and actively mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in scientific inquiry and thesis projects.
